It's done. I can't believe it - I actually finished it (usually I'm very good at not finishing things). My first cross-stitch piece of our hero - well, apart from a small one I did merely for practice. Find out more here: https://newboudoir.wordpress.com/tennant-tenth-doctor/

That's a lovely stitch! Obviously very time consuming-- I loathe long-term projects so I'm impressed when anyone can stick with something that massive for so long!

Thank you! Well, it took me about two and a half months, mostly evenings and weekends. But when it comes to something related with DT, I can stick to anything. :)

Haha, understood! I get frustrated when a stitch project takes me more than a couple of weeks so you do really have to love the subject matter.

That is AWESOME!!!!! I only cross-stitch "when the Spirit moves me," which isn't often, so I have several projects in progress. I have seen this pattern before but I have never seen it completed. It looks very much like a sepia-toned photograph (I know it was taken from a photograph but I wonder why it wasn't patterned in color). You did a great job!!

Thank you!
I think it's easier to make it in shades and tones of one color because of the blending. I stitched some areas with two different strands of yarn.
I always have several projects in progress, so I can pick up the one I'm in the mood for.
